Grant Site Specific Dance Project

Grant 5th graders took on leadership and creativity by choreographing and directing dance performances in The Site Specific Dance Project. During the project, 5th graders made art in real-world spaces around their school campus by creating movements and sequences that interacted with the lines, textures, shadows, structures, and colors in their environment. They included the trees, playground, bike racks, and even dumpster!

Dance Educator Krissa Englebright gives students this opportunity to develop collaboration skills, empathy, performance presence, body awareness, and appreciation of architecture and nature.
